A Place of Peace and Comfort

It has been coming to Me from Guidance (that's what Jesus gives, and sometimes it's clearly He, and other times it's from the Holy Spirit, the True of Us of which Jesus is the Door. "Behold, I have set before You an open Door" [Revelation 3:8] "and no-one can shut it.") ...

Back to the Guidance which is to have this blog be a Place where We can come together for Refreshment and Peace, Comfort and Safety, as We listen to His original words from the Bible and A Course In Miracles, His Guidance on them from You Are Loved And Safe, and His ongoing Guidance on the Guidance!

From My own experience, these are very practical words, despite their beauty. The Christ is a Living Truth about Us All.

As always, suggestions and comments are most welcome.

Hearing Him say: "Beloved Love One Another, as I Love You."

And: "In the world You may have tribulation, but be of good cheer! I have overcome the world."

Let's enjoy this Place of His Love and good cheer.

Love,
Sun~Rose

  1. Being strongly guided at this moment to add a comment or two to Sun~Rose's commentary today on "Behold, I have set before you an open door," and "no one can shut it." Such a beautiful thought, especially when you realize that Eshoa (Jesus) is speaking about what the 'open door' holds for us.

An open door is an Aramaic idiom meaning "an opportuniy." It is often said "If God will open the door, I will go on a journey or start a certain project." And "No one can shut the door," is a way of saying that no one can take away your opportunity.

Jesus used this reference to being a "door" many times over, e.g being the "door of the sheep," for one, even telling us that when we decide to "walk through the door (the opportunity)" YOU THEN BECOME THE DOOR FOR YOU HAVE ENTERED INTO ONENESS AND ARE THERE JOINED WITH THE ENTIRE SONSHIP," so he states in His Course.

In the Middle East, when a man is facing a difficulty or dilemma, he often says, "Every door is shut to me." We use the same verbage.

In this scripture in Revalation, Eshoa was using the minister of the church in Philadelphia as his teaching point, since this minister was physically weak, but spiritually strong. He had remained steadfast in the true teaching and had lived up to the responsibility that was placed upon him. Eshoa was reassuring him that he was on the right path! And by doing that, the minister was now able to show others "the door" so that they, too, could avail themselves of the opportunity of walking through to Oneness.

  2. Oh Marium! What a treasure. I have set before You an opportunity (by My teaching and healing) that no-one can take away.

All His Gifts are opportunities then. He says that His healings and miracles were only the wrapping paper for the more precious Gift of an absolutely beautiful experience of Reality standing ever-available to Us.

I really am cherishing what You have shared with Us from the Aramaic. This is going to be such a blessing.

  3. Dear Sun~Rose and Marium, it is such a blessing to be able to start each day reading your wonderful lessons. You are both helping me to understand and practice the ACIM. Thank you!
Sun~Rose, I received your book yesterday and I know it will be a one that I will treasure. I can see it will take me awhile to finish it as I find myself meditating on every entry. I want to write a review anyway as I think the book needs to be read by anyone interested in ACIM.

  4. Dear Eva,

I just posted a rather long-winded response to your Oct 29 post today. Just checking to see if you got it, or if I need to resend it.

I'm so new to doing this BLOG stuff that I may have inadvertently done sometime I shouldn't have.

Let me know if you got it. Otherwise I'll repeat it -- IF I can remember what I said!

    Love,
    Marium

  5. Dear Eva,

Okay -- forget this last post. I think I know what I did wrong, and I would now like to send you what I THINK I said before I screwed up on sending it before.

What I wanted you to know is that I am so delighted to hear that you may be getting some good out of what I (we) are sharing about the Course. That has been a dream of mine for more than 30 years - to marry the Aramaic teachings of Eshoa with the Course.

I DO know your frustration, as I DO remember - like many others - what it felt like to not get a whole lot out of the Text and related materials. I have discovered that I was not the only one (there were dozens and dozens) who literally tossed the book away two or three times, before really getting into it. For me, it was when I FINALLY saw the connection between the Aramaic and the Course that I could identify with the Course teachings. So, you are not alone in the boat, Eva. In fact, you are in a very crowded one.

Because this material is so EXTENSIVE in scope - the marriage between the Aramaic and the Course -- I really need for you to know that all your questions are more than welcome. It helps me narrow it down a bit into what will help you, instead of just rambling on (which I'm quite good at!).

There is so much material that it is possible I could go on and on and never touch on what it is you specifically want to know. So, questions are very WELCOME. Beside that helps me be a good talmeedhta - disciple or student - in order to answer the pertinent question.

Waiting to hear from you, knowing that you are, as Eshoa often tells me, IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS FOR THE RIGHT REASONS. This is ALWAYS preceded by being admonished (He knows I LOVE that word) to "ponder it in your heart, and keep your own counsel," which simply means -- "SIT DOWN, BE QUIET AND DON'T SPEAK UNTIL GUIDED TO DO SO." He does not speak poetically to me, just meat and potatoes style.

    Looking forward to your questions.

    Much love,
    Marium

    That says so much.

  7. Good morning,

As I was meditating on God's Love a bit ago, I received this Guidance that I thought was really apropos to our discussions on YOU ARE LOVED AND SAFE, and the IMPORTANCE of sharing with others WHO we ARE and what we are to do with that knowledge, which we discover through our own Guidance.

Not only ARE we Loved, but we ARE LOVE. And the way we keep BEING that Love is to offer it to ALL the world, not just a portion of the world. In fact, in the inspiring "final vision" at the end of the Text, Jesus says: "Yet this a vision in which you must SHARE with everyone you see, for otherwise, you will behold it not. To give this gift is how to make it yours. And God ordained, in loving kindness, that it be for you."

In the Course, we are told that the giver and receiver are the same, which in essence, is the EXACT meaning of the scripture, "It is more blessed to give than to receive," for when we give, we have already received, since there is only ONE!

    Have a great day!
    In Love,
    Marium

  8. Dear Marium,
Your post today is so relevant. I know that God and Jesus love me, but I am not always able to forgive and love myself because I do not always love or forgive others, especially in these political times. Thank you for reminding me.
I am so impressed with your ability to translate the teachings in Aramaic. I understand it is a difficult language because it has so few words with so many meanings. I have not asked any questions because I have so little knowledge of ACIM. That is the reason I bought Sun~Rose’s lovely book and why I am enjoying this blog and the wonderful contributions you are both making. Until now, (I love that He speaks to you in " meat and potatoes style"), no one has been able to tell me in just a few simple words what exactly is in the ACIM that is more that what I learned in the Gospels, (which are easier to understand. I am reading Lamsa’s Aramaic translation). To me all of life is MIRACLE. I was raised a Christian (not a Fundamentalist) and was taught to believe the core teachings of the Bible. It says everyone is created in God's IMAGE. Like the Christ, Jesus, we have God's Spirit, the Holy Ghost/Spirit within us and can do all things, (another Miracle), IF we believe it can be done. I was hoping the ACIM would show me how, but instead it has confused me. I want to learn how to hear and follow the guidance of the Holy Ghost/Spirit and how to master believing so that I can heal my body and mind, have the energy to be more productive and follow through with my desires...

I made bookmarks from your favorite "prayers" from the Course :

What would you have me do today?
Where would you have me go today?
What would you have me say and to whom?

I read this every morning and whenever I pick up a book that I have placed it in. Thank you,

    Love and Peace,
    Eva

  9. Dear Eva,

It makes me extremely happy to hear that you are getting some help from Eshoa's words to me, as well as insights of your own, which I see between the lines. These Course teachings -- which I call His WISDOM TEACHINGS (and He liked that term)--- will make perfect sense to you as you go along in these fantastic teachings.

And I'm equally joyful that you are familiar with the Aramaic. You are so right in the language having so few words. That's the problem in all the translations that happened AFTER the first century CE (and there have been over 26 that I have in MY possession), because trying to fit the teachings from a language with only a 500 word vocabulary into a language of 650,000 words (Greek)is an impossibility, especially when one doesn't understand the culture in which the language was born. And most people don't know that there are over 100 dialects in Aramaic, so that makes it even more difficult to translate, particularly in you don't know the culture with its idioms, etc. By the way, did you know that Lamsa was an Assyrian Christian? That's why he really had an uphill battle in the translations, which went against The Church, which was Catholic at that time.

Just know Eva that the Holy Spirit is what Eshoa sees as "the mediator," or the "bridge" between God and you, That which gives you all you need exactly when you need it. He is just a thought away. And it is through your mind that all healing takes place.

As you go along, you will find that the Gospels are not fully representative of the Wisdom Teachings of God, mainly because of the misrepresentations and misquoting of so many passages, whereas Jesus' Course ARE the biblical teachings.

When it says "The Gospel According to _____, that means that person is actually writing the words that he heard Eshoa espouse. And those words are found in the Course. That means that we have to be aware of what we're reading in the "Gospels" making sure that they match with the words of Eshoa in His Course.

By the way, did you know that the word "desire" means "from the Father," so already ALL your desires are already met -- just not yet accepted by you!

I did have to chuckle a bit when you referred to Eshoa speaking to me "meat and potatoes style," when He speaks so poetically beautifully through Sun~Rose. (He has made reference to the difference on one occasion.) But that just shows that what He says in the Course is TRUE -- He speaks the language each one understands, in the manner in which he/she can grasp it!

    Thanks for writing.

    Much Love,
    Marium

  10. Dear Eva,

After re-reading my comments to you this morning, I wanted to add a P.S. to that.

In case you want to know where to find the prayer you liked so much, when you get your ACIM Textbook, it is found in the Text WORKBOOK SECTION, page 99, in paragraph 11. It sounds like you are incorporating that prayer into your everyday living, so I might suggest that you would find it helpful to read the entire Lesson 71, in particular paragraph 10 which leads into the prayer.

    Hope this is helpful.

    Love,
    Marium

  11. This is quick as I need to get a nap before getting up later. I want to welcome Holy Son of God, Jamie. I'm so happy to see You here. And I appreciate just the little bit I read of Eva's and Marium's conversation. It is like coming into a peaceful oasis that just then comes back 'out into the world' with Me.

    Love,
    Sun~Rose

p.s. By tomorrow night or Monday morning, Jesus says to start the conversation on Miracles and generate some! (Those last two words surprised Me!) I think I need to raise My Miracle expectancy!

Thank You All for being here.

  12. Good Morning Sun~Rose,

And welcome Jamie. I look forward to your participation in this group.

Yes Sun~Rose, Marium has been a blessing, or should I say a "Miracle", as she has given me some wonderful guidance.

  13. Good Afternoon to all,and wanted specifically to welcome Brent to our blog. From past experience with him, I think you will find what he has to contribute meaningful. I speak from experience, having known Brent as a student of the Course for several years, so he will have much to add to the discussion on BEING LOVED.

    Welcome aboard, Brent.

    Much love,
    Marium

  14. Good morning,

In the Text we read, "When the Bible says, Judge not that you be not judged it merely means that if you judge the reality of others at all, you will be unable to avoid judging your own." (T.3:61 pg 51) In other words, this speaks to what I call "the name it-claim-it game," because what we have "named" for another is already in our consciousness - else we could not have given birth to the thought!

In the Aramaic, as commentary on this verse, it simply says that we should not criticize others, because with the same criticism that we are judging, we shall be judged. It's like the boomerang that always returns to the source from whence it came. We named it, we have to claim it.

    In Love, Peace, and Joy,
    Marium

  15. Thank you so much Marium for this reminder that my judgment of others is mirroring back something I need to look at in myself.
